Warehouse giant Costco is offering a package with tickets and other amenities for the upcoming F1 race at Circuit of the Americas. Click through for the details.
Package includes: 3-day ticket with seating at either Turn 1 or Turn 15; one double-occupancy room at the Round Rock Marriott (about 30 miles from the track); Q&A meet and greet with Mario Andretti; tickets to the Edwin McCain performance (presumably at COTA) with full bar and dinner; lunch at the Legends Club with special guest Emerson Fittipaldi (complimentary beer and wine and gourmet lunch); VIP Legends Hospitality on Saturday and Sunday—complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks (whatever) and food, air conditioned comfort, race simulators, official program, CCTV coverage of the race (because, who wants to watch it live?); ground transportation; lanyard and ticket sleeve.
Wow. That's awesome. But how much? Two tickets at Turn 1: $15,199.98

And FOM wonders why they have a fan problem.

And this is why F1 is struggling. I could get front row seats to every IMSA race for several years for that much money.

Yeah, but you wouldn't get lunch with Mario and Emmo and all that other sweet shit. This package is clearly for people who have no intention of actually watching the race.

CCTV so I can watch the race...on TV :]
Well, when it does come in handy when stuff is going on on the other side

If I want lunch with Mario, I'll spend $15,000 and have lunch with him at every Indycar race. And ride in the two-seater at every Indycar race.

As I said to somebody else, this package is clearly for people who have no desire to actually watch the race.

Costco also sells caskets, direct to families without going through the funeral home. Today one of those caskets arrived. It has a "made in China" sticker and appears to have been hit by a forklift. Possibly twice.

I buy a lot of things from Costco, but I don't think I'll buy a casket from them. Then again, I haven't priced caskets lately.

Is there anything that Costco doesn't f*cking sell?

$15,000 of that is the hotel fees, probably, lol. That shit gets EXPENSIVE, especially when they had the race and football game on the same weekend...
Cheaper to just camp out, like I did.
